Luxulyan Valley

The Luxulyan Valley (Cornish – Glynn Gwernan) meaning Alder tree valley. It consists of 2 miles of beautiful tranquil woodland through which the Par River runs. The valley is also dotted with the remains of the area’s mining heritage including the magnificent Treffry viaduct.

Whilst there is little doubt as to the valley’s natural beauty what makes the place special are the decaying remains from when this was an important part of the mining industry.
