Harlyn Bay with a Turner Sky

I’m sure the great man would have managed something better than my effort……. This sky passed me by on its way up the North coast of Cornwall

With a Turner sky

Joseph Mallord William Turner (23 April 1775 – 19 December 1851), known in his time as William Turner, was an English Romantic painter, printmaker and water-colourist. He is known for his expressive colorisation’s, imaginative landscapes and turbulent, often violent marine paintings. Turner was known for his expansive skies that are unpredictable and impressive in equal measure

City dwellers and towns folk can be starved of an open sky; they glimpse fragments between blocks of flats or in a busy street or shops and malls.

Im lucky that I live in a location that gives me a luxury of an open sky which stretches in all directions.

This was the starting point for my project “WITH A TURNER SKY”,
