The Padstow Archive. Capturing moments in time
Images by Paul Murt, a photographer of all aspects of local life: from it’s farming and fishing community to the landscape and the everyday life of the local people who live here, their social history and their special occasions.

I hope to capture forever a way of life – of hard work, philosophy and humour of the local people in this corner of rural England.

This blog is intended as a photographic record of life in a largely unspoilt, but vulnerable, coastal area, Padstow, my hometown.

Traditionally a fishing port, Padstow is now a popular tourist destination. Although some of its former fishing fleet remains, it is mainly a yachting haven on a dramatic coastline on the North coast of Cornwall. Padstow is changing at an alarming rate; soon there will be very little of this once great farming/fishing community.
