Forests have a natural tendency to be chaotic, and it is easy to let that chaos overwhelm you, and totally get lost…
Sometimes nature can be a bit overwhelming, making it difficult to find coherent compositions that successfully conveys my artistic vision. Complex compositions are difficult, and require some extra thinking to execute properly, especially as I like to keep my compositions simple, I look for what I like to call “visual anchors”, this could be anything from individual subjects to shadows and textures.
